National Taylor Swift Week.

This week has been all that I hoped it would be. I may not have ordered a papa john's taylor pizza, or bought a red t-shirt, or even red keds. But her sad and poetic songs have completely made my week. They are completely heartfelt and beautiful. I've listened to the album so many times and found my favorites and the things that I'm not in love with. But it's been a taylor filled week, my kind of week. I've watched all of her interviews and cannot get enough. On a side note I need need her dresses. It's been a great experience so far, and I can't wait to listen to all of the songs till I can't take it any longer. So don't mind me while I'm lost in taylor thoughts. But you can definitely join me! To start you off here are my song reviews for RED. Enjoy!

Album Review
-State of Grace: This song shows how a boy had changed Taylor, as many boys who’ve come into our lives have changed us. This song describes the exciting beginnings of love, and youthful love. It’s exciting, thrilling, and everything we’ve ever wanted. Favorite Line: I never saw you coming, and I’ll never be the same
-Red: I love the metaphors Taylor uses. You go girl! She describes fall amazingly. She combines colors with emotions. And that is pretty great. This song is very creative and heartfelt. It explains everything we feel when boys are in our lives and the pain they leave behind when they go. Favorite Line: Forgetting him was like trying to know someone you’ve never met.
-Treacherous: This has a sweet and soft sound, very cute. I love the instrumentals in this one. And it’s about the beginning of falling for someone, and it’s crazy but she likes it. Don’t we all? Favorite Line: I can’t decide if it’s a choice getting swept away
- I Knew You Were Trouble. : I know why this song can be annoying, house beats. I mean who are we kidding, it’s a bit strange. Putting that aside, I respect the message of a song. Being used sucks, liking bad boys always ends horribly. And they just move on from us to another. I enjoy songs like this so we can get our frustration out, and hopefully we learn a lesson that bad boys should just be forgotten. Favorite Line: And he’s long gone when he’s next to me and I realize the blame is on me
-All Too Well: This song is beautifully heartbroken; I wish my emotions sounded this nice. I love this song because it’s slow with a good beat, and not annoying and “poppy”. It even describes her relationship with his mother and sister, I love that. Favorite Line: But you keep my old scarf from that very first week cause it reminds you of innocence and smells like me
-22: This is the song you want to scream with your girlfriends in the car, on a warm summer night. I love how fun this is, I just want to grab my gals and sing it! That sounded so cheesy, but knowing me I’m completely serious. I lovelovelove this. Favorite Line: Yeah we’re happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time. It’s miserable and magical
-I Almost Do: This song describes the way I feel about the whole “him” situation, the one that shall remain nameless. But past that, I love it. Not wanting to get hurt by a guy again so we stay away even though, they are reaching out as a changed guy. We are still afraid. Real and raw emotions people. Favorite Line: It takes everything in me not to call you and I wish I could run to you and I hope that you know every time I don’t I almost do
- We are Never Ever Getting Back Together: I understand how this song seems ridiculously annoying. But you’ll get to the point where you love to sing it to yourself. So obviously it’s about getting back together with an ex again and again. But I think it’s deeper than that, it’s a message to your heart to get over it and move on from the hurt. Favorite Line: And you would hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that’s much cooler than mine
-Stay Stay Stay: This song has the cutest vibe, with the best acoustics. And it isn’t about her pleading for a boy to stay. It’s about a relationship that has its ups and downs, but it’s not a begging song.  She describes how he understands her, and she just loves spending time with him. Favorite Line: You took the time to memorize my fears my hopes and dreams
-The Last Time:  The lead singer of Snow Patrol did this duet with Taylor. I love love his voice, its Matt Kearny like. It’s beautiful and slow. Then it builds up to complete amazingness. The sound is entrancing, I like it I love it. The song is two lovers singing to each other breaking up, I’m a fan. Favorite Line: Just like all those times before you wear your best apology
-Holy Ground: This has such a fun sound. The drums are explosive. I feel like you can get so lost in the sound and forget the lyrics. But don’t because they are beautiful and they tell a great story. Favorite Line: Spinning like a girl in a brand new dress, we had this big wide city to ourselves
-Sad Beautiful Tragic: The intro starts just as the words describe completely beautiful acoustics. I love the slow pace and meaningful lyrics. Very heartfelt and heartbreaking, but not in a whining way. Favorite Line: Good girls, hopeful they’ll be and long they will wait
-The Lucky One: I’ve heard her do a sound like this before, and loved it then and love it now. Still slow but with upbeat drums. This song really caught my attention; I believe it really tells a story. About some old famous person who decided to leave the spotlight. And Taylor understands and gets why. I love the meaning, old stories are my favorites. Favorite Line: And they still tell that legend of how you disappeared how you took the money your dignity and got the hell out
-Everything has Changed: Love Ed Sheeran, so I've gotta love this. It’s a good duet. And a song with a simple message, she saw this guy he held open the door she got his name and that was all. Story of all our lives. We see guys and then picture our whole lives together. Very relatable. Favorite Line: All I know is a simple name everything has changed
-Starlight: I knew this song was about an old grandma, but what I didn't know was that it was written about Connor Kennedy’s (Boyfriend) grandmother Ethel Kennedy. I love that is isn't about a boy, I love that it is about Ethel’s love story when she was young. So vintage. Favorite Line: I met bobby on the boardwalk summer of ’45 picked me up late one night out the window we were seventeen and crazy, running wild wild
-Begin Again: From the first moment I heard this I knew it would be my personal favorite. And since it’s track number 16 it’s quite fitting. This is simple and descriptive. Very cute and sincere. It’s my absolute favorite from beginning to end, just lovely. Favorite Line: Turn the lock and put my headphones on he always said he didn't get this song, but I do

And here is the Begin Again video (LOVE)
